Ringtails and brushtails like to walk on powerlines. It is not unusual to see fried fruit bats hanging from powerlines, but it is unusual to see fried possums. [However, this does not mean that possums are never electrocuted. Electrocuted possums may sometimes be responsible for power outages.]
