 Ginger is the only possum we've seen hang upside down from the roof by her toes. Possums can balance very well and are often seen walking on powerlines. Although they only weigh 1-3 kg each, when a possum runs across your roof it sounds like a herd of elephants. Possum tails curl around branches for extra support when they are in unusual or precarious positions - they also curl around fingers (and squeeze.) Ginger has climbed GK and I as if we were trees.
