U Trí Bubnu (At the Three Drums) [Review]
My hotel was in the Old Town, not far from the Old Town Square. I
walked through the Old Town (Staré Mesto), across the Charles Bridge,
and through the Lesser Quarter (Malá Strana) while I was there. My
photos are only of the Old Town.
There were a lot of tourists at the time I visited, but that did
not change my impression of the charm and beauty of the city. I have
read that many people find Prague to be something out of a fairytale.
I also had that impression, but I am not sure how to more accurately
describe it for myself. Of all the cities I visited, it was the place
I felt the most feminine, the most like a woman.
I had learned a few Czech words and phrases beforehand, and felt
that my attempts to speak Czech were appreciated, but it did seem
that many or most of the residents spoke much better English than I
Czech.
