Stylotel [Review]
I walked a lot in London. I also purchased an Oyster (tube)
pass which turned out to be very practical. I used the tube a lot,
and I learned how to make changeovers confidently. I was before long
able to competently give tube directions when asked, and I was even
mistaken (in Paddington, a busy tourist area) for someone who lives
there. At times I accidentally came across some of the usual tourist
spots.
Some of the places and spots I saw included: Piccadilly Circus,
Portobello Road/Market, Notting Hill, Oxford Circus, Bond Street,
Chancery Lane, Charing Cross, The Strand, Victoria, Westminster
(including Westminster Abbey where the bells were just constantly
ringing), Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Liverpool Street, Vauxhall,
and I walked along the Thames. I have probably forgotten some. While
walking in the direction of an arrow that had pointed to Chelsea, I
wound up at the Tate art gallery, where I found Hope.
I especially liked Piccadilly Circus.
I did go for fish n' chips in a pub, but had wine rather than
beer.
