In the Forest of Mystical Dreams, I had a dream.

I returned to a familiar place to think about my dream.

I felt I understood what I needed to do.

I needed to try something different to help me cope. I rented a tropical island for a holiday. I bought a prefab to try to develop some skills. Hydro Homes - many amazing architectual designs - I chose this style, because my personal style tends to be over-the-top, and I thought this would work whether I went colourful or cyber. The only thing that freaked me out was that the 'security orb' that came with the rental (nothing to do with Hydro Homes), had slogans from 1984 embedded on it: 'war is peace', 'slavery is freedom'. This did not inspire confidence, so I steered clear of opening the orb or other info from the rental company. Anyway.. prefab homes in SL are very inexpensive, and the one I tried was easy to assemble and take down when my vacation time was up - plus it's still waiting in my inventory in case I want to try it again.

One of the reasons I rented the island was that it had a cave with it and I thought it would be a chance to try to take small steps toward eventually creating my own psychedelic dream cave, to practice and gain some experience.

I didn't get very far, but I could see the potential.

At a certain point, I felt I had gone as far as I could for now, and just wanted to chill.

And then I wanted to dance. Although I don't often log on to Second Life, when I do, I return often to Satori Estates. The following photos were taken on the Satori Drum Beach.

I also like Atlantium and the Secret Garden, and the main welcome area. In my photos, only a small portion of the sim shows, which may give a misleading impression about how colourful and alive it is. It manages to be vibrant, stimulating, and peaceful.

I am drawn to the colours, lights, plants, etc, but sometimes I feel my outfits clash or are not 'natural' enough.

I didn't accomplish a lot during my holiday, but it felt like what I had needed it to be for now.

Do everything, turn, turn, turn...
