OK, so more about the Poop Art Movement.
It is based upon a BDSM interpretation of the concept of
Enlightenment, and it involves provoking observations that not all
people are perceptive enough to achieve, and eliciting reactions that
are based upon manipulation of a person's thoughts, feelings and
actions. It's a big fuck you to evolution, humanity and the concepts
of truth and justice.
The information used to elicit the reactions does not have to be
true, and in fact there is a bigger score if it is not. The truth
can be mixed with what is false, if this will help to further
confuse the target.
A lot of what is involved relates to gathering enough info about
the target's beliefs and insecurities to figure out ways to 'make
them happy', which is really a setup to take it all away later, in
minor and major ways.
This is not an artform which is about mass recognition; it's about
the 'deepest possible understanding' only between those who
understand this artform and enjoy it. It is not uncommon for
certain practioners to derive pleasure through being the only one
who understands their own art. 'God' is a voyeur/provacateur with an
attachment disorder. It's about control.
It's all very elusive. Who can prove it? Only certain people are
even able to perceive its existence. Those who practice it follow
many rules, including that they must not be careless enough to be
caught through indulgence in ego or whimsy. They can't leave clues
or utilize discernible patterns.
What happens if a target catches on? Well, this just adds to the
potential areas to exploit and abuse. The target will not be
believed, and may behave in increasingly frustrated or fearful ways,
which will further serve to isolate the target from humanity.
If the target totally ignores what he or she perceives, or doesn't
react, the price of this is usually increased isolation. Targets are
usually chosen in the first place because no one really gives a
fuck about them. The target is not equipped for 'normal' life, and
this is understood and exploited.
Eventually, the target recognizes that they are enduring a rape and
torture that is ongoing. There is no escape. Not even death, although
the target can hope for death.
Whether the target repeatedly is set up to hope, or momentarily
experiences some kind of pleasure or hint of happiness, it is taken
away. If the target becomes suspicious of any hope, and forfeits
all possibility of happiness or pleasure, the poop artists have
control, and this means pleasure. I am not sure though, about which
angle they prefer.
The concepts are based upon human programming and how humans cannot
get out of small petty concerns to override their programming. They
believe their lives are meaningful, that love is 'real' and that they
control their own destinies. Poop art is about attacking these
beliefs from as many angles as possible, except from one of
compassion.
What is underneath, or the driving force is species hatred, and
underneath that hatred of self. Those who practice poop art hate
humanity because they hate themselves. They are kind of like closet
cases who go around bashing gays, except there are even fewer laws
to protect their targets.
