When I arrived, there was a lovely pink tree in full bloom at the
front of the hotel. The room I received was not one I would have
chosen for myself, but it was definitely different to any place I had
stayed before, and I was impressed by the daring of the design
choices and colours. The bed was quite comfortable, and everything
was very clean. Plus, there were complimentary Lindt chocolates
beside the bed.
I very much liked the courtyard and the fountain, and the
shuttered windows in the room.
The Medusa had the best stereo system of all the destinations on
my trip. It also had the most tempting minibar, and appealing
rosemary-scented toiletries.
I liked the staff there, and for me the location was quite good.

There was no lift. In theory, I don't see that as an issue, but in
reality I was a bit worried I had overpacked. :>
I was allowed a late check out with no extra fee, something I have
not commonly encountered elsewhere.
I am glad this hotel was part of my trip. Online, I had had the
impression of a certain dramatic boldness, which the hotel definitely
did live up to.
