In August 2008, I destroyed my laptop computer with an axe. Above are a few photos that I was able to take during the process. After I began whacking away at my computer, there was a delayed reaction before smoke appeared. The computer then caught fire, and there was an explosion.

This was not a statement of frustration regarding the increasing technologization of modern existence. If I attempt to have a sense of humour about it, I can say that I thought it was the only way to break up with an Imaginary Friend/hacker who was sending me messages through my computer, and who otherwise was unlikely to take the hint.
