Exile on Meme St (deactivated blog)

This was a WordPress blog that I tried out for a while. It was deactivated in June 2013, mostly because it was extremely slow. I designed the look of it, and asked GK for help with getting it to display with a simple, responsive blog - I wanted one that would adapt to any size screen, and to phones. Above, photos of the original blog appear.

The design I created was quite different to the original WordPress template. I don't know if hacking it contributed to the slowness, but it was so slow that it just wasn't realistic or fun to use it.

I realize it might be confusing that the current incarnation of xesce.net (2013 on) looks like this deactivated blog, and that the current 'diary' is also named 'exile on meme st: a diary', but I liked the look of the blog, and wanted to use my design for my site. I am responsible for the code for my updated website. I think others have assumed GK is, because the deactivated blog is described as 'hacked by GK' - but the issue is that I had more trouble with WordPress than just a 'regular website'.
